What Do CEETRON/HOOPS Toolkits Do Today? 

Below, you’ll find a quick summary of the broad features of the former CEETRON toolkits, under their new names, lined up in the order they'd typically appear in a CAE workflow: 

HOOPS Access handles reading and writing across the CAE file formats your users' solvers already produce, from Abaqus and MSC Nastran to LS-DYNA and CGNS, through a single unified FEM model rather than a different API for every format. 

HOOPS Mesh generates 2D and 3D meshes for simulation-ready geometry, giving developers fail-free mesh generation without building a meshing pipeline from scratch. 

HOOPS Solve provides the FEM solving layer: parallel direct and iterative linear solvers, eigensolvers, and element-level contributions for teams building or accelerating their own solver. 

HOOPS Envision is an all-in-one toolkit covering CAE visualization, post-processing, and reporting, ready to support both web and desktop applications. 

CEETRON’s Proven Track Record Didn’t Go Away 

The decades of market experience that made CEETRON a go-to name for CAE toolkits didn’t vanish with the name change. All of the features you know and love from the former CEETRON products (and more) are now a part of their new HOOPS counterpart. Dozens of existing Tech Soft 3D partners who built powerful applications with CEETRON toolkits continue to trust the now-rebranded products like HOOPS Envision.  

A clear example of this is the experience of our partner Migris, which builds petroleum systems modeling software. Migris started working with CEETRON back in 2007, upgraded to CEETRON's third-generation desktop and cloud components in 2016, and has continued relying on the same underlying toolkits, now under the HOOPS name, without interruption. 

Through nearly two decades of continuous use, through an acquisition and a full product rebrand, the former CEETRON products continue to serve as a reliable backbone. We understand you want to develop products that last, and we want our components to be a key part of that stability 

Our Toolkits Keep Getting Better 

While CEETRON becoming a part of HOOPS didn’t change the features you know, that doesn’t mean the products have stopped changing. HOOPS toolkits, including HOOPS Envision, HOOPS Mesh, HOOPS Solve, and HOOPS Access, are under continued development, providing key stability and format updates along with bug fixes and new features. ESTECO's team also pointed to something that matters for any developer evaluating a CAE visualization SDK: how well it disappears into an existing product. Marco noted that one of their top priorities was avoiding a "bolted on" feeling, and that VOLTA Advisor's post-processing environment looks like the rest of VOLTA despite running on HOOPS technology underneath. 

The Broader HOOPS Portfolio 

The other change worth noting is less about any single product and more about what now sits next to it. HOOPS Access, Mesh, Solve, and Envision are no longer a separate CAE product line sold apart from Tech Soft 3D's CAD-focused toolkits; they're part of the same portfolio as HOOPS Exchange for CAD data access, Polygonica for geometry healing and cleanup, and HOOPS AI for CAD-based machine learning.  

For applications that need to move between CAD and CAE data, that means fewer vendor relationships to manage and a more direct path from imported geometry to a finished simulation result.
