What is Creo?

PTC Creo is a parametric 3D computer-aided design (CAD) system developed by PTC.

Widely used for 3D product design, simulation, and manufacturing, it allows engineers to conceptualize, design, analyse and validate products. supports complex assemblies. It is a key tool in industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, and more.

The Creo suite of applications succeeds and replaces PTC’s earlier products, including Pro/ENGINEER, CoCreate, and ProductView.

Why translate between the Creo format?

Translating Creo data facilitates interoperability between different CAD ecosystems, allowing teams to collaborate effectively across tools and formats.

Organizations often need to convert Creo models between native CAD formats like CATIA V5 and NX, or into lightweight formats such as 3D PDF and JT, for visualization, sharing, and downstream use. High-quality Creo translation ensures that geometry, assemblies, and metadata are preserved, reducing errors and accelerating the overall engineering workflow.

Powered by Theorem technology, and through long standing business and technical relationships with PTC, our SpinFire Convert solutions are developed with full and ongoing compatibility for the Creo format.
