Support for glTF Clearcoat
HOOPS Communicator 2023 provides consumer and industrial design application developers with functionality for increased photo-realism in graphic display of 3D objects in both artificial and natural environments. Added support for MaterialClearcoat enables modeling a protective layer over a solid material or finish that exhibits shininess, reflection, and depth of color.
Enhanced HOOPS Exchange options
HOOPS Communicator 2023 features the asynchronous loading of measurement data, increasing application responsiveness which is critical to the productivity provided by cloud deployments. Reducing the time between data conversion and interaction with it allows end-users to be more productive. Separating the conversion of geometric and measurement data enables the viewer to present 3D models sooner after conversion, while still allowing access to the full set of measurements when needed.
Snap measurement in section cuts
HOOPS Communicator 2023 features an enabled measurement tool to snap on elements on section cuts, offering an even higher level of flexibility across multiple workflows.
Additional platform support
HOOPS Communicator 2023 now supports Visual Studio 2019, protecting our partners’ investment in adopting the HOOPS product suite as supporting technology stacks evolve. This update allows partners to adopt a modern compiler and language features like C++-17 in the WindowsTM platform's standard compiler.
DWG Drawing improvements
The 2023 version of HOOPS Communicator includes enhanced conversion support for DWG drawing elements, resulting in a cleaner and faster model loading time.
SpaceMouse support
HOOPS Communicator 2023 has added feature support for 3Dconnexion’s SpaceMouse allowing users to utilize its professional 3D navigation and ergonomic design. The 2023 release of HOOPS Communicator supports SpaceMouse’s Object Mode and Camera Mode allowing for either object rotation or camera view rotation.
