Reuben Hawkins

Reuben came to Tech Soft from Louisiana in August of 2005, just three days before Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. He’s just lucky that way. Safely ensconced in earthquake country, Reuben settled into the TS3D team despite communication challenges resulting from his southern drawl. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Reuben's primary responsibility with Tech Soft is as a developer, where he focuses on writing code on UNIX systems. In addition, Reuben works directly with customers in a consulting engineering capacity. Like all of the Tech Soft R&D team, Reuben also pitches in with technical support. One of Reuben’s specialties is working with the HOOPS PDF driver - both in development and supporting our Adobe PDF Library customers. If you have questions about the Adobe PDF Library, Reuben is the man to talk to.

In those rare moments when he’s not at work Reuben is often seen windsurfing on San Francisco Bay, hiking in the nearby mountains, washing his truck (he’s from Louisiana, remember), hunting or flying to New Orleans to visit his family and fiancee. He has a passion for national parks and a life goal to visit every park in the United States. As of this writing he’s knocked off 3 of the 58 parks in the USA.
