Guido Hoffman

Guido Hoffman
Member of Technical Staff

A native German, Guido Hoffmann added his Prussian-like efficiency to the Tech Soft R&D team in 1999. Although he appears to have been “born to code”, Guido was forced to wait until he was 12 to get his first computer. Reports confirm that he’s been a geek ever since with an avid interest in computer graphics (obviously).

Over the years Guido has worked on many areas in HOOPS adding new features to MVO and helping create new functionality including the Animation Engine classes and polygonal Booleans capabilities. Guido has also been instrumental in TS3D’s foray into streaming and web visualization and continues to contribute extensively to HOOPS’ advances in Large Model Visualization. In addition to coding, Guido has also performed a significant amount of HOOPS consulting & support, especially in his early years with Tech Soft, which helped him gain an understanding of customer needs and requirements.

When not working, Guido somehow finds time for partying way too much for his age, hiking, biking and working out at the gym. However, if you’re ever looking for Guido outside of work he’ll need to get virtual. Guido lives an alternate life in multi-player computer-games, where is a widely feared warrior on the virtual battlegrounds.
